A CHEMIST in Whitehaven is collecting empty tablet strip packs and is looking to the public to help.

The Whitehaven Late Night Pharmacy, at Lowther Buildings, Lowther Street, Whitehaven is working in conjunction with TerraCycle who will convert the packaging into reuseable raw materials using its unique recycling process.

This will reduce the number of empty packs that will end up spending a lifetime in landfill, but also it will generate money for good causes too.

The chemist is supporting Cockermouth Mountain Rescue. Each empty blister packet that gets recycled as part of the ‘Little Packs, Big Impact’ scheme generates a donation for the charity.

The chemist is asking the public to save the packs and bring them in.

They have a recycling box in the pharmacy to collect the empty blister packs.
