Plans to build new homes in a Lake District village have been given the go-ahead.
With approval granted by the Lake District National Park planning authority, the applicant is now able to build five homes at Braithwaite, Keswick.
The development will see two two-bedroom, two four-bedroom and one three-bedroom home created on the 3,300 sq metre site – currently used as a domestic garden – with 12 parking spaces also made.
One of the 14 conditions to be met by the developer during the project is to ensure the homes have a local occupancy clause, with buyers using the house as their primary place of residence.
Traditional Cumbrian materials, including slate, stone and wet dash render, will be used to build the properties.
