New figures for a seven-day rolling average show that three areas in Cumbria have average of more than 100 cases per 100,000 people.

As it stands, Allerdale has the highest number of cases per 100,000 people with 154.5 cases recorded in the past seven days.

This was followed with Barrow recording 138.7 cases per 100,000 people and Copeland recording 110 cases per 100,000 people.

The breakdown of cases per 100,000 people for the last seven-days according to Gov.uk figures is as follows:

  • Allerdale - 154.5
  • Barrow - 138.7
  • Carlisle - 90.2
  • Copeland - 110
  • Eden - 63.8
  • South Lakes - 49.5

The total number of people with at least one positive Covi-19 test result (either lab-reported or lateral flow device) since the start of the pandemic in each area is:

  • Allerdale - 4,816
  • Barrow - 4,099
  • Carlisle - 8,073
  • Copeland - 2,995
  • Eden - 2,932
  • South Lakes - 4,360
