FIFTEEN deaths have been recorded at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in a 24-hour period, figures show.
NHS England data shows that a total of 516 people had died from the disease at the trust, that runs the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, and the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, as of 5pm on yesterday.
That was an increase of 15 compared to Wednesday, when there were 501 deaths.
In total there have been 29 deaths in the past week, down from 67 the previous week.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.
This can also mean some of the deaths that were first recorded in the latest period may actually have taken place a number of days earlier.
