Plans submitted to Copeland Borough Council outline a vision to demolish a selection of staff dwellings at West Cumberland Hospital.
The plans refer to a mixture of detached and semi detached 2 storey former staff accommodation dwellings along Homewood Drive and Homewood Hill on the hospital complex.
The plans were submitted on 3rd February this month, according to the documents.
The planning documents reveal the reason for the demolition to be that the dwellings are simply no longer of use.
They state: "The dwellings are no longer required for staff accommodation and have fallen into disrepair."
The proposed demolition works are planned to take place between February 22nd and May 22nd.
You can view the notice of the demolition in further detail on Copeland Borough Council's planning applications portal.
