HYGIENE ratings for Copeland businesses have been revealed with some achieving top marks.
Copeland Borough Council published its latest round of food hygiene ratings on Friday morning, local authorities work with the Food Standards agency when carrying out the checks.
The council and standards agency awarded Morrisons on Flatt Walks in Whitehaven, a five for its impeccable food hygiene standards.
The Morrisons Filling Station nearby also achieved a five.
Pasta Delight in Inglenook Caravan Park, Lamplugh received a four, Cleator Moor Celtic AFC on Birks Road and McColls on Main Street, Egremont received both received a four.
The Calder Lounge at The Banks in Seascale received a one for food hygiene standards.
Establishments of any kind that serve food must be assessed out of five on their hygiene standards.
