More than 100 Cumbrian homes are currently being affected by a power cut.

The fault was first reported at 5.23am today (December 4), affecting properties in-and-around Keswick.

The power cut was caused by, "an unexpected incident on our high voltage cable which provides electricity" to the homes, according to the Electricity North West website.

It is believed 147 properties are affected by the cut.

A team from the company is currently on-site to resolve the issue, and while they initially hoped to have power back on by 8.15am, work is still being carried out to restore it.

It is now expected to be resolved by 12pm today.
