Businesses in Copeland are being encouraged to consider signing up for a west Cumbrian tourism group, to gain varied benefits of membership.

The Western Lake District and Coast tourism group is offering free membership until the end of March 2022.

Copeland Council is urging businesses across the borough to consider joining, even if they do not consider themselves a tourism business.

A spokesman for Copeland Council said: "Please consider joining to get lots of support and strengthen the voice of our visitor economy.

"Even if you don’t see yourself as a tourism business, you may still benefit from membership."

Membership includes free listings on the Cumbria Tourism website, along with publicity for events, and for content to be shared on social media pages and on blogs.

Members will also be included in publicity campaigns, including information given out at national tourism events.
