A SELLAFIELD worker has raised money for a local hospice charity.
Billy Parker, from Whitehaven, recently handed over £1,350 to Hospice at Home West Cumbria - which he raised through a collection at work.
Billy said: “I know people who have been supported by this wonderful charity and wanted to do my bit to help.
“As we continue to live in these unprecedented times, it’s so important that our community continues their support so that Hospice at Home West Cumbria can continue to provide their much needed services.”
Gemma Bell, community fundraiser at the charity, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Billy and everyone at Sellafield who donated to this collection.
“We are working hard to raise the £1 million we need each year to provide our services.”
