Cleator Moor residents are being asked to share their views on the future of the town’s conservation area.

A consultation was launched on Monday by Copeland Council, which is seeking to field the views of residents on what the town’s most historic area should look like in the future.

The four-week consultation is being held as the council drafts a new document which will serve as a guide to the future development of Cleator Moor’s conservation area.

This document will focus on the conservation area’s “development, character and appearance," and what residents think that should be like in future, according to a Copeland Council spokesman.

The spokesman added: “We are also holding a virtual public meeting on November 13 at 1pm.

“We welcome all your feedback to help us make sure the Cleator Moor document fully reflects the wealth of local knowledge available.”
