Man found with head injuries dies
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found dead on the A595.
The man, in his 70s, was found at about 8.30pm on Friday on the busy road at Egremont.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “A man in his 70s was found with a head injury beside the carriageway of the A595 at the bottom of Clintz Brow, Egremont.
“We attended and the man was taken to hospital but has sadly since died.”
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have dash cam footage to call 101.
