AN EVENING of special poetry readings will be held virtually on Wednesday by a group of Cumbrian poets.
Open-mic group Poets Out Loud will be premiering an evening of poetry and readings on the Kirkgate Arts YouTube channel. The 40 minute event goes live at 8pm.
The group describes the evening as: "a sense of place, identity, connection to where we live, nature, landscape, escape, life, death…and everything in between.
"From supermarket nightmares to wild swimming delights.
"Maybe we’ll discover who we are, who we might’ve been, and who we’ll be tomorrow?"
It will feature Susan Cartwright-Smith, Dr Richard Cook, Ros Edwards, Phil Hewitson, Valerie Moody, James Scott Riddick, Lou Rodger, and Becca Roberts reading for Tony Hendry.
