COLLECTING track and trace details became mandatory for certain businesses yesterday.

Tourism, hospitality businesses and close contact services such as hairdressers are required to collect NHS Test and Trace data, keeping the details on record for 21 days.

Businesses are also being asked to download QR codes before the UK wide roll-out of an NHS Covid-19 app. After a pilot phase for the app in Newham and the Isle of Wight, it is set for release on Thursday and will provide users with coronavirus updates including a notification if they need to self- isolate.

Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has provided an online toolkit for business owners who have reopened during the pandemic. For more details visit its website here.
