A ROAD has been closed in Egremont while urgent works are carried out.
The road closure has been put in place on U4032 Brisco Road, Egremont, from its junction with Brisco Mount.
The closure is to enable United Utilities to carry out urgent utility repair works to a leaking water main.
The notice was brought in on Monday September 14 and will be in force for no more than five days.
United Utilities expect the work to take three days.
The road will be closed at Brisco Road, Egremont from its junction with Brisco Mount for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction.
There is access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists at all times.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and will be available via the unrestricted sections of Brisco Road, East Road and Brisco Mount.
