Throughout October Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors will waive the usual legal fees for making a simple will, in return for a donation to support Hospice at Home West Cumbria.

The suggested minimum donation is £150 for a simple single will and £200 for a simple couples mirror will. For more complex will arrangements an estimate for the fees over the donation will be given.

Claire Wilson, associate solicitor for Cartmell Shepherd said; “We are thrilled to be supporting Hospice at Home West Cumbria this October through the wills month scheme. As a firm we have supported the charity in many ways over the past few years and it is a pleasure to continue this, especially following the difficult times faced by charities over the past months.”

Julie Monk, CEO for the charity said: “Many of us put off making a will, but we want to encourage people to make October the month that they get their affairs in order. "By making a will during Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s Wills Month not only are you ensuring your wishes are adhered to, but you are also supporting the future of hospice care across West Cumbria."We are extremely grateful to Cartmell Shepherd for supporting us in raising awareness about the importance of having a will in place."Appointments can be made by calling Cartmell Shepherd on 01900 876123 or emailing westcumbria@cartmells.co.uk, mention the hospice Wills Month campaign when making the appointment.
