SALES have been higher than expected post-lockdown for high street fashion retailer Primark.
Although they were lower than last year, Primark which owns a store in Carlisle, has seen surprisingly strong trade.
A period of time away from the high street during the coronavirus lockdown has led to shoppers flocking back to their local store.
Since Primark stores reopened, they have seen "increasing numbers of transactions driven by foot-fall" with basket sizes notably higher than the same time last year.
