A MOUNTAIN rescue service attended to a second case of heat exhaustion on the same Lakeland peak in three days.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to the incident on Helvellyn at 5.45pm on Tuesday.
The team had previously helped a teenage boy with the same condition on Sunday evening.
A spokesman for the team said: "We were alerted by police to an adult male suffering from exhaustion after he had climbed Helvellyn.
"The gentlemen was in a party of three people and they were located at the Hole in the Wall.
"One of the duty leaders from the team made contact with the party and discussed his condition.
"It was decided that after a rest and a drink he was improving enough to slowly make his way off the fell."
Two members of the team volunteered to meet the man and escort them to their vehicle.
The incident took 2.5 hours.
