SATURDAY: We Love Gavin & Stacey (C5, 9pm)

Even several years away did little to diminish Gavin and Stacey’s appeal, so when the Christmas special 2019 aired, millions of us tuned in to see Nessa pop the question to Smithy. This celebration of James Corden and Ruth Jones’s comedy features stars including Larry Lamb, Alison Steadman and Melanie Walters revealing backstage gossip, a few filming secrets, and favourite scenes are discussed by fans.

SUNDAY: Derren Brown: 20 Years of Mind Control: Live (C4, 9pm)

Channel 4 have devoted an evening to sorcery, largely in honour of the eponymous illusionist. Derren reveals how he used hypnosis and the power of suggestion to baffle the British public, before discussing his most controversial moments, including playing Russian roulette, and a zombie-fuelled Apocalypse illusion.

MONDAY: Supershoppers (C4, 8pm).

New series. Helen Skelton and Sabrina Grant return with the consumer programme packed with money-saving tips and the secrets of the big brands. In the first edition they show how to save money booking a last-minute staycation.

TUESDAY: Manctopia: Billion Pound Property Boom (BBC2, 9pm)

Manchester is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, with a population due to double in the next five years. Little wonder parts look less like Coronation Street and more like Wall Street. However, not everyone is a winner in this billion-pound boom town. This film follows some of the folks living and working in the city.

WEDNESDAY: Coronation Street Icons: Ken Barlow (ITV, 8.30pm)

A look at the best moments of William Roache’s six decades in Weatherfield, from the show’s first episode in 1960 right up until the present day.

THURSDAY: Mandy (BBC2, 9.30pm)

Diane Morgan has long been one of the most engaging comedians on the box. This series of short films centring on the down-on-her-luck heroine has also been a lot of fun in recent weeks, and the latest double bill should brighten a dull night.

FRIDAY: Secrets of the Luxury Super Yachts (Channel 5, 9pm)

One-off film focusing on the Italian Sea Group shipyard in Tuscany, where many luxury yachts are crafted. There’s a look at the Superyacht Show in Barcelona, where owners look for an upgrade and in Monaco, yachting brokers pit themselves against each other for the next eight-figure boat sale.
