Hundreds of children have been helped throughout lockdown by a youth group via Zoom.
South Whitehaven Youth Partnership has been busy over the past months building relationships with children and young people - to date they have worked with 232 children and young people.
The detached work has been helping keep the community fit and tidy.
A spokesman for the group said: “ In April we were unsure whether to pause the launch of SWYP but being here for young people during a difficult time highlights the need for youth provision across South Whitehaven.
“The number of children and young people we have worked with has exceeded our expectations and is a pleasure to work with them on a weekly basis.
"Over summer we are continuing the Fit. Fun. Fed programme for 8-12 year-olds, feedback to date has been positive, some parents have commented that ‘they were becoming a house hermit’, this is echoed a lot.
“The summer programme is allowing children to socialise in a Covid secure environment, increasing socialisation while having fun.”
