A motorist was handed a hefty fine after he admitted driving while almost three times over the drink-drive limit.
Andrew Mark Christiansen, 33, of Church View, Egremont, admitted driving a Peugeot 208 on the A595 at Lillyhall with 100mcg of alcohol per litre of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
He was banned for 17 months but his ban could be reduced by 17 weeks if he successfully completes a drink-driving rehabilitation course.
