THE Lakes Distillery has announced details of how it will restart popular tours of the site amid Covid-19 restrictions.
Guided walk-arounds at the attraction, in Setmurthy, near Bassenthwaite Lake, will open again tomorrow alongside a daytime bistro service
However owners have requested that visitors book ahead and provide dietary requirements ahead of their visit.
There will also be a maximum of eight people per tour with many social distancing measures in place, but the site will be open seven days a week, with a choice of three regular tours.
On the website it states: “At the beginning of each day, every member of our team has their temperature taken, and we will be asking visitors about their recent health and travel history, as well as recording details to support the Government’s contact track and trace initiative.
“All employees have received extensive training in hygiene and respiratory etiquette, social distancing and transmission risks.
“Enhanced deep cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures are in place throughout."
