The crowds were out on the streets in force as Whitehaven's carnival parade took to the streets back in 2005.
Youngsters dressed up in their favourite costumes from Darth Vader to Woody from Toy Story and dancers tapped along the roads to entertain the watching spectators.
Schools from the area decorated floats along varied themes and pupils happily smiled for crowds as they went on the route around the town.
And there was plenty of regal magic alongside with the various queens floats also stunning watchers, with much care and time put into each and every entrant.
We have looked back through our archive as our photographer captured all the events of the
day.
See if you can spot any familiar faces along the way.
