MEMORY: Children at Caldewgate School, Carlisle receive their cycling proficiency certificates in 1983
I was interested to see the photograph of Caldewgate School cycling proficiency awards from 1983 in the News & Star on 30 June.
I know most of the children in the picture as I was at the school at the time.
Back left are Michael Dickinson and Anthony Rishton. The boy holding the bike is Andrew Mullen; the tall girl at the back is Joanne Kirkbride, then Deborah Marrs.
Bottom left: Nicholas Whiteman; Angela Crawley, Sandra Gardener.
Front, kneeling is Robin Doswell. Far right front Kay ? The male teacher with the beard was Mr Tucker.
We all went to Ashley Street School then to Caldewgate School.
Then some went to Morton Secondary School like myself while others went to Trinity School.
