A Workington woman has been fined for causing a nuisance to NHS staff at the West Cumberland Hospital.

Anna Elizabeth Scott, 38, of Irving Street, had initially denied the offence, but changed her plea to guilty when she appeared at the magistrates’ court in Workington on Tuesday.

The court heard that on February 9, Irving was at the hospital for reasons other than medical treatment or advice and caused a nuisance to staff without reasonable excuse.

She was fined £50 and ordered to pay £200 court costs and £32 victim surcharge.
