AN APPLICATION to convert a barn into four homes has been refused.
Eden District Council has turned down the proposal from the Lother Estate Trust for the building at Yanwath Hall, near Penrith on Tuesday.
In refusing proposals the council said: “As the building operations, including significant demolition, are not considered to be reasonably necessary for conversion. It would be tantamount to a significant rebuild due to the extensive nature of the work proposed to the existing structure.”
