The trust running north Cumbria's hospitals has reminded friends and family of patients that visiting is still suspended in light of Covid-19, but that its messaging service is still in operation.
The North Cumbria Integrated Care (NCIC) NHS Trust has issued a reminder to anyone with friends or family currently in hospital that it is not possible to visit in person, as tight restrictions on entering hospitals are still in place in light of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
In light of these continued restrictions, the trust is continuing to offer friends and family the ability to send messages to inpatients, through its Patient Experience and Involvement Team and its Patient Access Liaison Service.
The team prints and laminates the message sent to them before presenting it to the intended recipient.
To send a message to the service, email pals@ncic.nhs.uk, or phone on 01228 814008 or 0800 633 5547.
