Students that have taken part in online pastel workshops with artist Emma Hunt can now enter a prize competition.
The ‘28 days of lockdown artists’ competition will run until July 11 at 5pm.
Pieces will be judged by independent judges Jen Gash, winner of Sky Landscape Artist of the Year 2018, local pastel landscape artist Sarah Reid, and local landscape artist Haydn Morris.
Entrants will pay £10 each, with money going to the Unite the Unions' PPE fund, which currently stands at £815.
There are two categories, the main category for Lockdown Student of 2020 has three prizes including an original and framed demonstration painting by Emma Hunt worth £160. A second category for the Popular Prize, which will be decided by the most likes and shares, closes on July 19 at 9pm. There is also the chance for winners to place their work or art at Eden Valley Artistic Network Gallery in Penrith.
Winners will be announced on July 20. For more details contact Emma Hunt Art on Facebook.
