FIRE crews were called to action when a building caught fire this morning (Friday).
At 9.50am crews from Workington, Whitehaven and Maryport attended a building fire on Moorclose Road, Workington.
A spokesman for Workington Fire Station said: "Crews extinguished a large fire in the roof space using six breathing apparatus, two hosereel jets, one ground monitor , three 9m ladders, three triple extension ladders and thermal imagining cameras to monitor fire spread to a neighbouring property."
Firefighters were at the scene battling the blaze with regular crew monitoring throughout the day.
