Hundreds of care packages have been delivered across the region by emergency engineers from Northern Gas Networks.
As well as delivering the packages to individual households, packages are also being provided to charities and care homes. The packages are appearing on doorsteps across the North of England
The engineers are providing care packages to vulnerable customers, while they are out and about in communities. The packages contain non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta and tinned food, as well as hand sanitiser and puzzle books.
Helping hand, Steven Dacre, Northern Gas Networks’ said: “The care packages have been really well received. We've a large and mobile workforce throughout the region, it makes sense to help customers who can’t get to the shops."
