A THOUGHTFUL team has found a way to support Covid-19 volunteers in their vital work.

After seeing negative comments being made about those driving out and about in Carlisle and throughout the county, production company owner Craig Dryden wanted to put a stop to it.

And after creating and handing out more than 300 Covid-19 Community Volunteer stickers to those helping others in the area, it's safe to say the owner of Dryden Media has achieved his goal.

He said: “At the outbreak of Covid-19, I became aware of a number of volunteer groups being set up through social media to support the local community.

“[I contacted] the support groups regarding the issue that was arising, which was that volunteers were being confronted by members of the public for making multiple journeys to pharmacies, supermarkets, visiting homes etc.

“This gave me the idea that if volunteers had something identifiable it may help mitigate any potential negativity towards volunteers.”

Craig funded the production of the handy stickers, which let others know the volunteers and carers are on the roads with a purpose.
