Man fined for stealing Prosecco
A WHITEHAVEN man has been fined after stealing alcohol from a supermarket.
Michael Goldwater, 61, of Nursery Place, Whitehaven pleaded guilty to the charge of theft.
Goldwater stole Prosecco from Morrisons in Whitehaven to the value of £10 in November last year.
He was fined £50, ordered to pay compensation of £10 and £32 to fund victim services, as well as £85 costs.
Goldwater's guilty plea was taken into consideration when magistrate's imposed the sentence.
