Motorists travelling on the A66 are warned they may face disruption due to roadworks.
One of two lanes will be closed until 8pm today on the A66 westbound between the junctions with the A591 north of Keswick and the A5086.
This closure is to allow emergency roadworks to take place.
The lane was closed at 11pm last night.
Meanwhile, one of two lanes will be closed on the M6 northbound entry slip at junction 42. This will be closed for road repairs.
Highways England is warning drivers to expect disruption until 6am on June 21.
Motorists are also being warned of the M6 northbound entry slip being closed at junction 43. This closure will be in place between 7pm and 6am daily until Saturday.
A further round of roadworks will then take place during the same times from June 1 until June 9.
This is also to allow highways teams to carry out road repairs.
