Another patient has died of coronavirus at an NHS trust with hospitals in Cumbria.

NHS England confirmed one person died yesterday with Covid-19 at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust - which runs hospitals including Millom Hospital, Furness General Hospital in Barrow and Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.

This brings the total number of patients who have died of coronavirus across the trust to 155.

Meanwhile, at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - which operates the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven - there were no new announced deaths from the virus in today's (May 9) daily briefing.

So far this week, three deaths have been confirmed across the trust. The total since the outbreak began is 128.

The total dead at the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust - which manages the Carleton Clinic in Carlisle - remains at seven.
