Copeland Borough Council have been unable to complete recycling collections today.
A representative of Copeland council said: "They are working extremely hard in challenging circumstances, and we thank you for your patience and understanding at this time."
Crews will return tomorrow to collect recycling from locations in Hensingham, Whitehaven and Bransty.
Collections will be made tomorrow in Devon Road, Cambridge Road, Westmorland Road and Bedford Street of Hensingham.
In Bransty, collections will be made at: North Road, Earls Road, The Green and Crossfield Road.
There will also be collections in the following locations in Whitehaven: Rannerdale Drive, including Oak Crescent, Beech Grove, Ash Grove, Sycamore Close, Alder Close and Rowantree Close.
Collections will also be made at The Mount, Scilly Banks and Quality Corner, Harras Road and Ladypit Terrace.
