A man who damaged windows in a town centre now faces a hefty court bill.

Scott John Lister, 25, of Coronation Crescent, Distington, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage before North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The court heard Lister was in Workington on July 20 when he damaged a window, to the value of £250, belonging to SJE Financial Services.

He also damaged a window belonging to Flavour, worth £360.

Lister was fined £200 and must also pay compensation totalling £610. He must also pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
