North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington.
A 47-year-old woman must pay £1,200 in compensation after stealing a bank card and committing fraud.
Claire Louise Costello, 47, of Furnace Row, Distington, indicated guilty pleas to three counts of fraud and one of theft before North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court last Friday.
Magistrates heard that Costello stole a bank card belonging to Josephine Langley on November 11.
She was also found to have committed fraud on three occasions, using the bank card for her own personal gain, on November 7, 11 and 12 for amounts of £400, £370 and £500 respectively.
As well as the fine, Costello will be subject to a nine week curfew.
