A MAN has admitted five charges, which include possession of an axe in public.
Gary Walsh, 34, admitted one charge of possession of a bladed article in Workington town centre, one of assault by beating, two charges of assaulting an emergency worker and one of criminal damage.
No evidence was heard during a short hearing at Carlisle Crown Court yesterday, with the case adjourned for sentencing.
Recorder Eric Lamb said: “You have pleaded guilty to four counts on the indictment and one summary offence of criminal damage.”
Walsh, of South Street in Fletchertown, will be sentenced on March 4.
Recorder Lamb said: “I will not be the judge passing sentence so will be giving no indication on what the sentence will be.”
