A west Cumbrian man has denied three counts of indecent assault on an underage girl.
Carl Morgan Donnelly, 62, of The Ferns, Egremont, appeared at the magistrates court in Workington on Friday.
He pleaded not guilty to the allegations, which are said to have happened between 1999 and 2002.
The alleged victim was under 14 when the first crime is said to have happened.
She was under 16 when the other indecent assaults were allegedly committed.
Donnelly appeared in court wearing a grey hoodie and a grey coat.
He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
He is due to appear at the crown court in Carlisle on March 25.
Donnelly will be on unconditional bail until the next hearing.
