A MAN was knocked unconscious in an attack in a pub.

Police said a 50-year-old man was assaulted at The King Arms pub in Barrow.

The incident was said to have happened after 10.30pm on February 11 at the Dalton Road pub.

Officers are searching for a man and have appealed to witnesses to come forward with information.

A police spokesman said: "Police are investigating an assault that took place on the 11th of February 2020 between the hours of 22:35 and 22:45.

"The victim - a man aged 50 - sustained bruising and swelling to the face and was also unconscious for a few minutes.

"The offender is described as a white man, bald and dressed in dark clothing.

"He is believed to be aged between 40 and 50."

An appeal to the public said: "Police are requesting any witnesses to contact PC 2814 Watson and anyone who may be able to identify the suspect.
