A drug-driver who also took to the roads with no insurance has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 18 months.

Mark Lee Fowler, 39, of Hunday Court, Workington, pleaded guilty to three charges before West Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

The court heard Fowler was driving a Renault Clio on Brow Top, Workington, on July 9 last year, when the incident occurred.

He was found to have 33mcg of cocaine in a litre of blood. The legal limit is 10mcg.

He also had 580mcg of Benzoylecgonine in a litre of blood. The legal limit is 50mcg.

Fowler was also found to be driving without insurance.

He must also pay a £120 fine, plus £200 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
