Children said ‘I Do’ at a mock wedding ceremony.
Reception pupils at St Gregory & St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Whitehaven took part in the ceremony at St Begh’s Church.
The service helped support the children’s understanding of marriage, which they had been learning about at school.
Each class had its own bride, groom, best men and bridesmaids. Reception teacher Lauren Young acted as official photographer.
Pupils then made their way back to school for the wedding reception and spent the afternoon preparing decorations, sandwiches and biscuits, as well as learning some dances.
Parents were invited to the school hall before home time to watch the dances and join in the celebrations.
Miss Young said it was a “lovely” day.
