Police are stepping up patrols in a village after reports of youths worrying elderly residents.
Residents in Dearham had posted on social media that youngsters were knocking on doors late at night, a concern for vulnerable.
And Cumbria Police have reacted to say that increased patrols will be visible in the area to combat the problem.
A spokesman said: "It has been brought to police attention that there have been some youths knocking on doors in the evenings in the Dearham area, worrying residents.
“We understand this can be worrying for vulnerable people. A PCSO will be increasing patrols to the area.”
