A man has been fined and received points on his driving licence after pleading guilty to speeding.
Carl Cleaver, 40, of Old Smithfield, Egremont, was fined £120 at West Cumbria Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The court heard Cleaver was driving a Ford vehicle on Low Road/St Bees Road, Whitehaven on January 24 last year when the incident occurred.
His speed was recorded at 36mph in a 30mph zone. His driving licence was endorsed with three points.
Cleaver must also pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
