A woman who died of cancer still found a way to raise money for a cause close to her heart.

Angie Barber's battle with cancer sadly ended in November, but even in death the St Bees RNLI supporter raised funds for the lifesaving team, who her brother Dave Barker is a part of.

The caring fundraiser was devoted to the RNLI, and supported Dave on all of his fundraising feats for the charity, as well as keeping up-to-date on the team's events and even wearing an RNLI top while in hospital.

And at the 50-year-old's funeral, Angie's loving family and friends donated £1,422, with a JustGiving page raising £172.

With a total of £1,594.13 donated to St Bees RNLI, the team couldn't be more grateful, and Angie's proud brother Dave is touched by the generosity.

He said: "I would like to thank everyone who has already donated to my sister's JustGiving page, and all the friends and family who supported her.

"Angie's enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her."
