Road expected to be closed for several hours
Police, paramedics and emergency services were called to Lanercost after a serious crash.
Emergency services were called just before 6pm last night (January 21) to Lanercost and closed the village road, just east of Lanercost Primary School.
Crews from Carlisle East and Brampton stations worked alongside the paramedics.
A spokesman from Carlisle East Station said: "We were called at about 5.45pm to Lanercost after a serious collision."
The road was closed for a number of hours.
