A SLIMMER is looking forward to new opportunities after losing a staggering six and a half stones in just 39 weeks.
Emily Prier, of Frizington, joined the Cleator Moor group of Slimming World back in March last year after a referral from her doctor.
And in her first week she lost eight and a half pounds, setting her on the road to her goals.
“I was blown away by the support in the group and have made lots of friends,” she said. “It has given me the support to overcome the many hurdles I faced.
“I could not have lost the weight without the support of my consultant and the members within my group.”
She also praised the referral scheme which allows local GPs to prescribe 12 weeks of slimming in a local group instead of prescription drugs.
“I’m so grateful I was given this opportunity it has changed my life,” she added.
As a dog walker and a agility trainer, Emily now finds keeping up with her canine friends a walk in the park.
“It has made my work so much easier and I’m no longer out of breath.
“Thanks to Slimming World I will be having the best start to 2020 and with the help of the group I will be planning my way through weeks I might find tricky to be sure I achieve my target in March.”
