A MOTORIST who drove at speeds exceeding 100mph has been fined.
Andrew Carruthers, 20, of Amberfield, Burgh-by-Sands, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A7 on the M6 southbound between junctions 45 and 44 at speeds exceeding 70mph.
At 10.18pm on September 18, 2019 Carruthers drove the Audi A7 on the southbound carriageway of the M6 where a speedometer caught him at 125mph.
Carruthers was fined £400 for the offence.
He also has to pay costs of £85 and £40 to fund victim services.
Carruthers' driving record has been endorsed with six points.
