A DASH of magic was brought to school by Santa’s little helpers.
Reindeer Cupid and Prancer made their way to Jericho Primary School on Friday, helping staff and pupils celebrate the school’s 50th birthday on ‘decoration day’.
While every year is a memorable one of making Christmas cards and decorations, the excited youngsters won’t be forgetting their encounter with the most festive and fluffy of animals.
All 400 pupils and 250 parents met Cupid and Prancer, and enjoyed learning all about reindeer.
And although they weren’t allowed to show off their magical powers during the daytime, the children were still over the moon to meet the joyful duo.
Headteacher Mr Blackwell was also thrilled with the morning, and said: “This is such a great year at Jericho. It’s our 50th year, we’ve moved into our brand new school and we wanted to make sure our Christmas was one to remember.
“Seeing our children’s faces light up as they saw our special guests was magical!”
He added: “Bringing our community together for crafts, tea, cake and reindeer has been a great and memorable start to the festive period.”
