A POPULAR fat-busting bootcamp has helped its members lose more than 50 stone.

LiveWire’s free Fit To Tackle programme has reached the end of its latest 12-week programme, with participants shedding a combined total of 52 stone, some of the best results the course has seen.

Fit To Tackle, which includes exercise sessions at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, encourages people to complete two high-impact bootcamp sessions a week and use LiveWire’s leisure facilities at the weekend.

At the end of the programme, results revealed 92 per cent of people shed at least five per cent of their body weight.

Tom Kearney, lifestyles advisor at LiveWire and Fit To Tackle coach said: "Another Fit To Tackle programme has come to a close and as the brilliant results show it was a massive success.

"Well done to everyone who took part and worked so hard for the past 12 weeks.

"It takes a lot of commitment and time to see these sorts of results, so everyone who completed the programme should be very proud of themselves.

"Alongside the fantastic weight loss statistics, more people than ever before decided to take up a full LiveWire membership to enable them to continue on with their health journey with us after the programme ended.

"Our next programme in January will see us running two groups running consecutively to enable us to accommodate the ever increasing number of applicants.

"So we are expecting some even more impressive stats and plenty more people getting their fitness on track with LiveWire."
