Police are investigating after two bottles of Jack Daniels were stolen from a Whitehaven supermarket and the suspects ran away.
Officers have released CCTV images and are asking anyone with information to get in touch with them.
A spokesman for the force said: "Police are investigating an incident of shoplifting which happened in Asda on Preston Street, Whitehaven at around 1.30pm on Sunday 17th November.
"Two people entered the store before putting two bottles of Jack Daniels whisky into a bag and leaving without paying.
"When challenged, the couple ran off in the direction of Coach Road."
Police would like to speak to the man and woman pictured in the CCTV images as part of their investigations.
